“Tidy Up Los Angeles” was created for women who want their homes to be welcoming in the morning & a beautiful retreat at the end of a long day. A home that is filled only with stuff that is loved, enjoyed & where everything has a designated place.
I’m a wife, mother of two teenage sons & two shelter dogs. I get life is busy & sometimes it’s left to one person in the household to do the major juggling of running a home & schedule. My journey to becoming a Certified KonMari Consultant started in 2015 when I first read “The Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up”. The book’s message of joy & gratitude spoke to me & I followed the method & quickly saw my home becoming clearer & easier to manage. I was donating so much that I even started donating the now empty storage containers that I thought were helping my home be efficient. Turns out I had really just been storing clutter. I joined Facebook groups devoted to the book & saw how other women’s lives (& a few men too) were transformed after also applying the KonMari Method.
After tidying & documenting the progress in my own home I applied & was accepted to attend the Los Angeles KonMari Consultant Seminar (2017) & was trained by decluttering guru Marie Kondo. I then worked with clients to earn my practice hours & successfully completed both a rigorous written exam & verbal interview & was welcomed into the community as a Certified KonMari Consultant in 2018.
It is a commitment to tidy your home by category but it's worth it to address everything you own, keep what you love & let go of the rest. My role as a consumer has been forever changed. I don’t need to own a lot but I want what I own to be the best quality I can afford. I can honestly say that you too will feel a positive change in your whole outlook of your home & lifestyle when you make the commitment & tidy up. The relief my clients feel after we complete sessions together is something you will feel too. Let’s get started.
